Beijing: Pass rate of 60% down jacket is insufficient

The Consumers Association of Beijing announced on the morning of the 30th the comparison results of the down jackets: 53 kinds of down jackets and 1 type of overcoats, and 36 items of the samples had reached the national standard, accounting for 66.6% of the total number of samples. Of the remaining 18 unqualified samples, 13 had severe product quality problems such as shortage of pounds, shorts, shoddy, and falsified; 5 samples were made of crushed wool and down feathers, all from Bairong.

In last year's comparative trial, the ZARA brand, which was exposed to vacuity and contained velvet, was on the black list this year due to ** disease. The brand's coat price of 999 yuan coat, the nominal filling is 70% down, 30% feathers, measured only 51.1% cashmere.

The comparative test sample was randomly purchased by the municipal consumer association staff as an ordinary consumer. The sample source covers Beijing shopping malls, supermarkets, clothing market, and networks, basically covering the main producing areas and manufacturers of down apparel. The comparative test entrusted the China Textile Association's Textile Fur Quality Testing Center to test five items of down apparel samples, including the product logo, the amount of cashmere, the amount of velvet, the degree of loftiness, and the degree of cleanliness.

Luo Gang, director of the Consumer Relations Department of the City Consumer Association, said that the results of four consecutive years of comparative tests showed that the quality of the down jackets sold in large shopping malls was generally better than that of the clothing wholesale market; the counterfeit and down jackets found in the past two years with shredded wool as filler were basically from Clothing wholesale market.
