Famous Italian fashion brand D&G unique advertising trouble

Allegedly violent advertising

Dolce & Gabbana (D&G), a well-known fashion brand in Italy, has always had a unique style, but at present it is in trouble because of its over-unique advertising. A few days ago, the British advertising regulator announced that a group of print ads for the brand would be banned in the UK because of violent content.

A total of two bizarre graphic ads were banned from publication in the famous media such as The Times in the UK. In one of the advertisements, a man was sitting in a chair and the man with a knife next to him threatened him. There was a man with a head injury lying on the ground next to him. In another advertisement, two men raised a wounded woman who also held a knife in her hand. It is no coincidence that one of the advertisements is also being published next to a crime news.

In the face of advertising bans, D&G’s advertising designers shouted that their advertisements did not have any meaning to promote violence. Moreover, the ad did not receive any complaints when it was published in Europe, Japan, the United States, and Hong Kong. However, the regulator of the British advertising industry believes that although the advertisement is only an artistic creation, it is “widely spread and has had a bad influence,” so it is hoped that D&G will face consumers and society in a more responsible manner.
